CITIZENS COMPASS – Madam Alice Odumakin, the mother of the late spokespeeson for the Pan Yoruba grouo, Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin.has died.
She was aged 93.
Yinka’s widow, Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin, disclosed thiis in a statement titled: ‘Odumakin: Heavens gain a third angel,”
According to the statement, Yinka’s mother died on Wednesday morning in Ikorodu, Lagos at about 10.15 a.m.
She said the deceased did not recover from the death of her son and husband till she gave up the ghost.
The activist said burial plans will be announced by the family..
“The matriarch of the Odumakin family, Madam Alice Odumakin has passed on.
“Yinka Odumakin’s mother passed on this morning in Ikorodu, Lagos at about 10.15 a.m.
” Madam Alice Odumakin never recovered from the death of her son and husband.”
It would be recalled that Yinka Odumakin died in early April 2021 of Covid-19 related ailments.
Yinka Odumakin’father, Pa Ezekiel Odumakin, died about eight months ago at the age of 116.
Yinka’s widow also broke the news saying the patriarch died at Moro, Osun State at the ripe age of 116.
