CITIZENS COMPASS– LAGOS State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) on Tuesday, recovered one out of the two bodies of the fun seekers who drowned at the Baraccuda Beach in Ajah, Lagos.
Recalled that the fun seekers were said to be drowned while rescuing a person at the Beach on the Boxing Day.
Search and rescue was activated by the Agency and one of the bodies was recovered the day after.
LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Dr Oluwafemi One-Osanyintolu who disclosed this in in his updates on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, said the body was recovered in a neighbouring community.
“During the search of the drowned victims the LRT found one of body out of the two bodies that was washed away along the coast line at a neigbouring community (Okun Mopo).
” The commodity was bagged and handed over to the relatives of the victim.
‘The search of the other missing victim still on going.”
