Lagos NSCDC trains female squads to secure schools

IN its bid to reduce nefarious activities in Nigeria schools, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC, Lagos State Command, has trained 28 female corps to secure schools.

 

The initiative was in adherence to the directive of the Commandant General, NSCDC, CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi to establish female squads in all the  commands.

 

At the passing out parade of the squads held at the Command’s headquarters, Alausa, Ikeja,, the State Commandant, Eweka Douglas, promised his commitment to eradicate security challenges such as kidnapping of school children, cultism, bullying, rape and gangsterism amidst other nefarious acts in  schools especially in the state. He said, 

The public should cooperate with the Squad to deliver on their assigned mandate while we try our best to eradicate the challenges,”

 

He called on  Lagos government to support the Command in achieving its aims as it is poised to score high with the squad. 

 

The ‘Female Squad’ is a strike force saddled with specific roles to combat nefarious activities amongst our students.

 

Douglas said  they are well trained arms carrying personnel, who have been carefully selected from various divisions, units and departments across the State Command.
