Lagos loses council chairman

...Conference 57 mourns 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS –The council chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, Oladotun Olakanle,, is dead.

His death was announced on weekend, by Conference 57, the joint body of all the council chairmen in Lagos State.

Onigbongbo LCDA was calved out of Ikeja Local Government.

Announcing the death in a statement made available to Citizens Compass, spokesperson of Conference 57 who doubles as the Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ikorodu Division, Olusesan Mayokun Daini popularly known as Builder Olusesan Daini eulogised the virtue of the late Onigbongbo chairman describing as a dedicated one.

Daini said the group valued the contributions of Olakanle to its shared values.

He said, “On behalf of the Conference 57 Chairmen of Lagos State, we express our deepest sympathy over the passing of Hon. Oladotun Olakanle, the Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA. His loss is a profound one, not only to his family and the people of Onigbongbo but also to all of us who knew him as a dedicated leader. His service, vision, and commitment to his community have left a mark that will not be forgotten.

“As his colleagues, we greatly valued his contributions to our shared goals and his tireless efforts to uplift his local government area.

“In this time of sorrow, our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the Onigbongbo community. May they find comfort and strength, and may his soul rest in peace.”
