Lagos Government sensitises residents on water sanitation, hygiene

CITIZENS COMPASS – Lagos State Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs through the Technical Services Department has sensitised the people of Laiyedo Community in Ikorodu about water sanitation and hygiene promotion.
The event was held during the week was aimed at importance of water sanitation and hygienic practices in rural communities across the State had facilitators ftom the Ministry analysing various topics during the programme.
The sensitisation programme themed; “Water Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion through Community-Led Total Sanitation and Hygiene Practices” which is geared toward reiterating the importance of water sanitation and hygienic practices in rural communities across the State had in attendance, seasoned facilitators who addressed the importance of staying healthy through hygienic practices.
The project is one of the series of Hygiene-Advocacy Programmes that the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs organises to implement one the T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda of Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu in Making Lagos State a 21st Century Economy, thereby building a Greater Lagos.
