CITIZENS COMPASS—The All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter, has said the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, may not resign from his position.
The party said Obasa’s resignation was not a part of the agreement to resolve the power tussle bedeviling the Assembly.
Lagos APC was Reacting to the rumours making the rounds about Obasa’s resignation.
According to the APC spokesperson in Lagos, Seye Oladejo, the resignation rumour was unfounded urging the public to disregard it.
“To the best of my knowledge, there was no time the arrangement for Obasa to resign came up in the terms of settlement of the crisis.”
He also spoke about the lawsuit filed by the Speaker, “I’m aware that any moment from now, Obasa will withdraw the lawsuit in the interest of renewed peace and progress of the House in particular and the party in general.”
