Kidnapping: Police meet CDAs in Ikorodu Division

CITIZENS COMPASS —To address the growing rates of kidnapping in Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Adegoke Fayoade, has invited all Community Development Association (CDAs) leaders to a crucial meeting.
The meeting, according to the Community Development Committee (CDC), Ikorodu Division stated that the meeting holds on Tuesday, February 12, 2024, at Ikorodu Town Hall, at 10 a.m.
The Secretary, of CDC Ikorodu Division, Abiodun D. Sunday, in a statement urged CDA chairmen in the Division to be in attendance.
In the late hours of Sunday, February 11, 2024, postponement of the meeting was announced.
The unsigned message reads:
“*postponement! postponement!!*
*postponement!!!”
The earlier emergency stakeholders meeting scheduled for tuesday 13th of february, 2024 at the town hall is hereby postponed.
“A new date will be announced.
” All inconveniences are regretted.

Citizens Compass had reported that a commercial motorcyclist popularly known as Okada rider alerted vigilantes and sympathizers about the kidnapping incident at Igbe-Alagemo, Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
The incident occurred at about 11 am.
Recall that the victim, a woman, boarded a bike to the area for site inspection but was kidnapped before the inspection could take place.
It was learned that some gunmen swooped on the bike to first of all dispossess the rider before marching the woman to the swamp.
