CITIZENS COMPASS – PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has expressed gladness at his meeting with former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode. 

The President met and exchanged pleasantries with the former Governor in Lagos. 

The meeting was at a welcome party, where the former governor also exchanged pleasantries with his successor, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as seen in a video. 

Speaking during the meeting, Tinubu said:

I’m glad to see Ambode.”

The former governor served one term in office and lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in the state to Sanwo-Olu in 2019 after a fallout with his then-political godfather, Tinubu.

The fallout led to the emergence of Sanwo-Olu.

During the electioneering period, Ambode and Sanwo-Olu also clashed as they traded words with each other.

However, Sanwo-Olu had reached out to Ambode during his 60th birthday recently.

The governor said Ambode dedicated his time to the service of Lagos State as a governor and civil servant.
