CITIZENS COMPASS–The traditional council of Ikorodu, Lagos State, has announced another edition of ‘’Magbo(Oro) Festival for the year, 2024.
The Alayeluwa of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, announced this in a statement on Friday, April 26, 2024.
“This is to notify you of the above festival slated for Thursday, 16th May, 2024, according to tradition.”
The monarch advised females to be indoors during the Festival.
”All females are advised to remain in their respective homes and avoid moving around the town during the Oro festival.”
A copy of the letter which was addressed to the Medical Director, Ikorodu General Hospital, dated Tuesday, April 16, 2024, stated thus, “Please, note that your organisation is affected by falling within the ‘’Oro’ traditional jurisdiction.
“You are hereby advised to adhere to the tradition of the town.”
