Citizens Compass reported that the state government had given the monarch six months suspension for assaulting the man.

The decision to suspend the monarch was made when the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, invited the monarch and his victim for interrogation.

The monarch was later suspended to serve as a deterrent to others.
