A member of Lagos State Tennis Association, Odusanya Omotayo popularlly known as ‘Sleek’ on Monday, said he would use his position to enhance Tennis game in Ikorodu Division, Lagos State.
Odusanya was appointed as a member, in March 2021, by the management of Lagos State Sports Commission, due to his various achievements in the Division.
In a chat with Citizens Compass, he promised to use his position to extend the nitty gritty of the game to the grassroots in order to develop potentials.
Odusanya who doubles as the Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) , Coordinators in Ikorodu Division, said he would embark on the awareness of the game in both primary and secondary schools as well as the street kids.
Until his appointment, he was the Personal Assistant to the Executive Chairman and Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, NYCN, Igbogbo/Bayeku Branch Coordinators.
According to him, “I intend to bring the game of tennis to the grassroots in order to develop potentials,”
On how he intends to achieve this, he said he would collaborate with Lagos State Sports Commission saying, “I have organized three maiden editions of Beauty Pageant in igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA in order to create a quality show biz in ikorodu.
“I have also organised a table tennis competition in igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA as the NYCN IBLCDA Coordinator.
