CITIZENS COMPASS– Lagos State Police Command on Thursday, confirmed the arrest of a man who allegedly stabbed his wife to death at Oke Ira, Ilogbo Eremi, Badagry area of the State.
The alleged murder occurred on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at about 11:25HRS.
Detectives from Morogbo Division were said to be on patrol when they got a distress call about the incident.
Spokesperson for the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest in an update.
“Morogbo Division suspected murder be informed that on March 2025, at about 11:25HRS, a team of detectives while on surveillance township monitoring patrol at oke ira ilogbo eremi got information that one Peter Dike ‘m’ living in Oke Ira, Ilogbo, Eremi, stabbed his wife to death hence.
“The team swiftly raced to the scene, and one kitchen knife stained with blood was recovered from him.
“The lifeless body of his wife aged 38yrs old was found in front of him in pool of her blood. He was brought down to the station and interrogated accordingly.
“He confessed to have committed the crime.
“Corpse removed and deposited at morgue of General Hospital, Badagry for preservation case will be transferred to SCID, Panti, Yaba.”
