Human rights activist, Taiwo Olusegun, declares as APC aspirant in Ogun
CITIZENS COMPASS—A human rights activist, Taiwo Olusegun, has declared his intention to contest as a councillor representing Oke-Aro/Ibaragun/Robinyan Ward 7, Ifo Local Government, Ogun State under the agies of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
He declared his intention at a successful meeting of the party which was held on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
The gathering provided an opportunity for notable leaders from the ward to discuss the progress of the party.
During the meeting, 12 other councillorship aspirants declared their intentions seeking the support of the ward executive members, apex leaders, and members of the ward.
The Ward Chairman, Ọgbẹni Tanimola Adewale, advised the aspirants to approach the election with integrity and respect one another.
He emphasized that the election is not a do-or-die affair, and urged the aspirants to work together for the good of the party.
Notable leaders of the apex body advised the aspirants and implored all members to foster unity amongst themselves.
The aspirants were Adebanjo Olatunji Daniel, Onifade Babatunde Kehinde, Ekun Ramon Olawale and Oluwasegun Taiwo
Others were Amosun Aminat, Ajikobi Noah Adeniran, Ogunmekan Oyetayo Opeoluwa and Adebayo Asimiyu Oladipupo.
Also, Akindele Olumide Samson, Oluwole Olusegun, Busari Sikiru Omolade, Olamilekan Alli-Balogun and Adeyemo Abodunrin were among those who declared their intentions.
Asiwaju Sam Aluko, Publicity Secretary, Oke-Aro/Ibaragun/Robinyan Ward 7, Ifo said “Ward 7 is determined to work together to achieve success in the forthcoming Local Government election.”
