How Gospel singer, Aduke Gold died

CITIZENS COMPASS—The cause of death of the popular Gospel singer, Aduke Ajayi popularly known as Aduke Gold has emerged.

The information was released barely 72 hours after her death.

The late Singer was said to have died of cervical cancer before she gave up the ghost at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan in Oyo State.

The family of the late gospel singer revealed the cause of her death in a viral video.

An older brother of the late Singer, Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, disclosed that she died of cervical cancer refuting the report by some propagandists that she died of complications from a surgery.

The Pastor disclosed this in a viral video.

He said the death certificate from UCH revealed that she died of cervical cancer.

He said; “Whoever Is saying what is not should stop it, our daughter was ill, she had cervical cancer, she was taken to UCH in Ibadan and unfortunately, she died. The information spreading around is false.”

The trending video by Pastor Ajayi has countered the claim by an On Air Personality in Ibadan, Yemi Sonde, which claimed that Aduke Gold died during a fibroids removal surgery.

He disclosed this uring a programme on YES 101.7 FM.

Meanwhile, UCH said it tried its best when the Singer was on admission in its hospital claiming that she was referred from the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH).

In 2023, a School of Thoughts disclosed that with over 14,000 cases recorded annually, cervical cancer was the second leading cancer affecting women in Nigeria because it is so easy to contract through multiple sources. However, it is also highly preventable, but sadly, many people do not know they have contracted the virus and end up passing it to other people.

Cervical cancer is the type that occurs in the cells of the cervix — the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina — and is mainly caused by various strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV).

When a woman gets infected with HPV, her immune system prevents the virus from doing harm but the virus can survive for years, thereby causing some cells on the surface of the cervix to become cancerous.
