CITIZENS COMPASS– THE House of Representatives on Wednesday, passed a resolution to investigate the circumstances that led to the killing of a female lawyer, Bolanle Raheem by a police officer in Lagos.
The tragedy occured on Christmas Day
in the Ajah area of Lagos State as she was shot dead by a trigger-happy Assistant Suprintendent of Police.
At the plenary session, the House of Representatives resolved to ensure that the officer involved is prosecuted with a view to getting justice and stopping officers from taking alcohol while on duty.
The House earlier observed a minute’s silence for the deceased.
The motion for the resolution was moved by a member representing Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Lagos State, Ibrahim B Obanikoro.
