Hit-and-run driver injures policeman in Lagos
CITIZENS COMPASS– ROAD users at Ilubinrin area of Lagos State were on Thursday, thrown into traffic gridlock as a hit-and-run driver reportedly injured a policeman on duty.
The incident occurred at about 7.15am,inward Simpson near the Third Mainland Bridge.
Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), disclosed this on its verified Twitter handle which was retweeted by Spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
Owing to the incident, road users were said to have experienced traffic congestion in the axis but traffic officers were said to have risen to the occasion immediately.
The picture of the injured policeman as posted by LASTMA revealed bruises on his hand and side view as he sat in pains by the road side.
Although LASTMA dud not give further details about the incident but some Nigerians have condemned the incident calling on law enforcement operatives to fish out the hit- and- run suspect.
