CITIZENS COMPASS – Suspected gunmen on Sunday, abducted a traffic official on the Ogun State axis, along the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway.
Until his abduction on Sunday morning, the official identified as Popoola Olasupo, works with Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE),
According to eye witnesses’ accounts, the traffic official and his colleague were on their way to an assignment at about 6.30am, when the incident happened around Eledumare -Fidiwo axis on the highway.
It was learnt that both were abducted on gunpoint while riding on a motorcycle.
Spokesperson, Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident, and assured that the Command has been on the trail of the kidnappers to secure the release of the traffic officer.
Citizens Compass gathered that one of the officials escaped the attack while Olasupo was whisked away by the gun wielding men. .
