GUNMEN have reportedly invaded Dansadau, Town, in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing four persons and abducting 14 others.
The incident occured in the early hours at about 3sm on Friday.
Among the kidnapped victims were a pregnant woman, children and other members of the family of a man said to be a lecturer at the Zamfara State College of Arts and Science.
It was gathered that some persons were injured in the attack during which the bandits reportedly went from house to house to loot food items.
A resident of the town, Malam Mohammed Dansadau, speaking on the development, said that the four persons that lost their lives were vigilantes who tried to repel the bandits’ attack on the community.
At press time, Zamfara State Government was yet to respond.
