CITIZENS COMPASS– SUSPECTED gunmen reportedly struck in Ondo State and kidnapped about four polytechnic students from Kogi.
The incident occurred along the Akunnu-Ajowa road, in Akoko area of Ondo state.
According to reports, the victims who are students of the Kogi State Polytechnic, were said to have been ambushed at the Ago Jinadu Axis, in Akoko, on Friday night, December 23, 2022.
The incident has thrown residents into panic.
Contacted, the Police Area Commander, in lkare, ACP Muri Agboola, said his men have been combing forests along the Akunnu-Ajowa Akoko road to rescue the abducted students
There was no official report from Ondo State Police Command at press time.
The abduction occurred few hours after the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu condemned the agitation for Yoruba Nation.
