CITIZENS COMPASS —A community radio station in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, Gbedu 100.1FM, on Monday, dazzled its fans in celebration of the new year.
The event was held at Teacher’s Estate, Ladegboye, near Itamaga, Ikorodu at about Noon with fans, staff, family members and management team in attendance.
The event wss spiced with music, jokes and games.
In his appreciation message, one of the pioneers of the station, Otunba Dayo Ajiteru popularly known as Bisjoo on Radio gave thanks to Almighty God for keeping the station alive.
He said though there were challenges initially but God came to his rescue.
Ajiteru said in the course of the journey, some people disengaged from the station but God in His infinite mercies intetvened.
He thanked those who stood by him especially his wife, Lydia Adebimpe who has been steering the shoo as the Chief Executive Officer of the station.
“I thank God for sparing our lives because the year, 2023 was tough but we scaled through.
“I thank my wife Lydia Adebimpe, the CEO of this station for standing by me. “
He said the event was in appreciation to God Almighty.
Apart from radio callers in Ikorodu, notable voices in the station, like Amoo Babatunde and Adedayo Ajala were in attendance.
