Gaidam charges stakeholders on transparent admission process at police academy

 

CITIZENS COMPASS–The Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam has charged stakeholders to collaborate and ensure that Nigeria Police Academy admission processes are transparent, fair, and aligned with the values of the Nigeria Police Academy.

He said this in a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Press and Information, Mr Bolaji Kazeem, and made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), during a stakeholders Meeting on Admission for Regular Course, 11 2024/2025 Academy Session of the Nigeria Police Academy held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Police Affairs in Abuja.

The Minister pointed out that this year admission will face new challenges and expectations and it is imperative that the integrity of the admissions process is vital, as it reflects the commitment to nurturing the very best candidates who will uphold the ideals of justice and service.

In his words, “The upcoming admissions process presents us with a unique opportunity to select individuals who are not only academically qualified but also possess the integrity, resilience, and dedication required to serve our communities effectively”.

Gaidam added that this is an important stakeholder meeting that represents a collective commitment to excellence in the recruitment and training of future leaders in policing as well as playing a critical role in shaping the future of law enforcement in Nigeria.

The Minister said the upcoming admissions process presents stakeholders with a unique opportunity to select individuals who are not only academically qualified but also possess the integrity, resilience, and dedication required to serve our communities effectively.

He encouraged them to share their insights, recommendations, expertise, and perspectives which are invaluable as they refine strategies to address potential challenges and enhance the overall experience for candidates.

“Let us remain focused on our shared goal: to cultivate a new generation of police officers who are not only skilled but also compassionate and committed to serving the public with honour.

“Together, we can create a robust framework that not only meets our immediate needs but also sets a standard for future admissions for the 2024 post-UTME examination and the admission procedures for Cadets Regular Course 11 at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil,” Gaidam stressed.
