CITIZENS COMPASS– Four persons were been confirmed dead on Friday, in an explosion that rocked Lafenwa, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The incident occurred when a diesel-laden tanker rammed into a shop and some vehicles parked by the road side.
Florence Okpe, the FRSC spokesperson, told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that many were trapped in the crash as the tanker caught fire immediately.
Okpe said two other vehicles were involved in the crash that occurred at Lafenwa roundabout.
She said the total number of persons involved in the accident could not yet be confirmed.
However, she said four male adults have been confirmed dead by responders.
