Former governor’s son slumps, dies after Eid-el-Fitr prayers
CITIZENS COMPASS– Ibrahim Idris, former Governor of Kogi State has lost his son, Mohammed Idris, who slumped and died after Eid-el-Fitr prayers Abuja.
The deceased was said to have slumped and died on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
He was a former member of the House of Representatives from the State.
Mohammed reportedly collapsed and died in his residence shortly after returning from the Eid-el-Fitr prayer in Abuja.
He was a lawmaker representing the Ankpa, Olamaboro, and Omala Federal Constituency of Kogi State during his father’s tenure as governor.
The former lawmaker was known for his contributions to governance and public service. His sudden death has left a void in both the political and social spheres of Kogi State, as he was regarded as a dedicated leader and advocate for the welfare of his constituents. The former Governor’s son was laid to rest at the Gudu Cemetery according to Islamic rites.
