Five dead, ten rescued as explosion rocks Ladipo Spare Parts in Lagos
FIVE persons were confirmed dead while ten persons were rescued on Tuesday, after a domestic LPG plant exploded at Ojekunle Street in Ladipo Spare Parts Market, Mushin, Lagos State
The incident occured at about 8am when the owner of the shop was refiling some cylinders.
The casualties wwre three adult males, a woman simply identified as Mama Funmi and a 10 year-old boy, Farooq who was initially rescued but died on way to hospital.

It was gathered that the place was allocated as a mechanic workshop before it accommodated other usage.
An artisan who simply gave his name as Seun said he escaped death by whiskees.
The Acting Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Lagos State,Ibrahim Farinloye confirmed the incident
He said NEMA, state fire service and sister agencies were on ground.
The Director- General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr..Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu said the agency’s Tiger Team were deployed to the scene.
Farinloye said 121 cylinders were recovered from the scene stateing that the LPG cylinders were being used for auto welding.
Lagos State Commissioner for Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu who visited the scene said the disaster was avoidable.
The place have since been cidined off.
