CITIZENS COMPASS– The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service on Friday, rescued a female adult from a chemical induced Fire at 291 Old Abeokuta Motor Road, opposite Vetland Secondary School, Agege, Lagos.
The report of the incident which was made at 18:38 hours Friday has Agege Fire and Rescue crew of the Agency brought the situation under control after dousing the Fire from the explosion of sets of varying kegs sizes containing unknown chemical stored in an open fenced-gated land.
While investigation into the ownership and type of chemical is ongoing, it was discovered that heat radiation is attributed to the explosion of the chemical which were kept unprotected from sunlight.
The rescued lady is however responding to treatment from sustained first degree burns.
