FIRE outbreak on Wednesday morning has razed shops and buildings at Owode Onirin, along Ikorodu Road area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that the fire started at about 9 am from a building before it spread to other structures, including unspecified number of shops.
It was learnt that late arrival of Lagos State Fire Service and Rescue Team, despatched to the scene triggered confrontation from angry residents and hoodlums.
The development led to the fire escalating to adjoining structures.
Confirming the development, the Public Relations Officer of the state Fire Service, Sakiru Amodu, said the fire was successfully put under control.
