THE family of one of the guests killed at a birthday party in Egbeda, Lagos on Sunday, when a drunk Police Inspector, Mohammed Useni allegedly fired some shots has called for justice over the death of their son, Mr Chikere Obieshi popularly known as JB.
The deceased and one other person were killed while some others were injured during the incident which occured on at about 9pm on Sunday.
The family spoke on Wednesday at a press conference which was held in front of the deceased’s shop at Computer Village, Ikeja saying only justice will compensate them over the killing of their son.
Late Obieshi was described as a legitimate phone dealer who was invited by a supposed friend called Mr. Ifeanyi Uchendu popularlly known as Asiwaju to grace the occasion, only to meet his untimely death.
The deceased’s elder brother, Anayochukwu Obieshi, said his late brother had spent less than two hours at the party before he was shot dead by the policeman while he was dancing and spraying money on the celebrant.
He called on the Inspector General of Police, AIG Zone 2 and Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi to come to their aid so that the alleged killer can be brought to book.
