CITIZENS COMPASS– The family of the late Afenifere leader, Pa Ayodele Adebanjo.
According to the announcement, the late Yoruba leader will be buried on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at his hometown in ljebu Ode, Ogun State.
Recall that the elder statesman died on Friday, February 14, 2025, at his Lekki, Lagos, home at the age of 96.
The statement signed by Ms Ayotunde Ayo-Adebanjo, Mrs Adeola Azeez, and Mr Obafemi Ayo-Adebanjo on behalf of his family said proceedings will commence with a Day of Tributes/ Service of Song at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The burial ceremony will be held on Friday, starting with the Wake at Adebanjo’s Country Home, Isanya Ogbo, ljebu Ode, Ogun state, followed by the interment and entertainment of guests at his country home.
A Thanksgiving service is scheduled for Sunday, May 4 at St Phillips Anglican Church, lsanya Ogbo, ljebu Ode, Ogun state by 10am.
