CITIZENS COMPASS –The driver of a Honda Accord saloon car, on Tuesday, survived a lone accident in the Cappa-Oshodi area of Lagos State.
The female driver was enroute Mushin at day time when the vehicle with licence number, KSF 987 FW, veered off its way in front of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Cappa Base.
However, she survived the accident and was quickly attended to by emergency responders.
Confirming the accident in his updates, LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu said,
“A Honda Accord saloon car, registration number KSF 987 FW, was involved in a lone accident in front of the Agency’s Cappa Base.
“The driver, an adult female, while driving inward Mushin, lost control of the car and crashed into the road median, making a sudden 360⁰ degree turn on the expressway.
– Fortunately, there was no loss of life.
– No injury was sustained to anyone as a result of the incident.
$The driver, adult female, was attended to by LASEMA’s Eagle Response Team, and given immediate medical attention by the LRU Pre-Hospital Care Unit, at the scene before being discharged.
– The car did not suffer physical, nor mechanical damages.
– The car was driven off the road.
– Road set is free for safe vehicular activities along the axis.
– Rescue and Recovery Operation concluded.
In a related development, a Toyota Camry and Pilot Jeep on Tuesday, collided at the Iyana-Oworo end of the Third Mainland Bridge.
LASEMA also gave the updates thus,
“Following distress calls received via the CRM on 767/112 Toll-Free Emergency numbers at 1925hrs, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, activated it’s Emergency Response Team from the Command and Control Centre, Alausa, Ikeja.
“A road traffic accident occurred on the 3rd Mainland Bridge at the Iyana Oworo, inward Adekunle section.
“Upon arrival at 1940hrs to the incident scene, it was observed that an ash-coloured Honda Pilot jeep with no visible registration number had collided with a white Toyota Camry car bearing the registration number SMK618HF.
“Further investigations revealed that the incident was caused by the combusted tire of the Honda Pilot while on motion.
“Fortunately, no injuries were recorded at the scene of the accident.
“- LASEMA coordinated the recovery operation at the incident scene.
– The affected vehicles were promptly recovered from the road.
– The prompt intervention ensured that the flow of traffic was not severely impacted.
– The accident vehicles were efficiently recovered.
– The incident scene was efficiently managed with minimal disruption to traffic flow.
– Recovery Operation has been concluded by LASEMA Response Team.”
