Driver, motor boy disappear as truck crushes tricycle in Lagos 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS–A truck driver and his motor boy on Tuesday, reportedly disappeared from an accident scene when their containerised truck crushed a tricycle in Lagos.

The accident occurred at about 8a.m around Abraham Adesanya in the Ajah area inward Ogombo.

According to eyewitnesses’ accounts, the accident was caused by the tricycle rider which parked by the road to source for passengers near the traffic lights in the area.

The containerised truck was said to be journeying from Ajah to navigate one of the adjourning streets when it mistakenly dragged the tricycle which was operating illegally at that time and this led to a serious accident leading to the truck to fall by its side thereby crushing the tricycle.

An eyewitness simply identified as ‘Babanla’ told Citizens Compass that both the truck driver and motor boy disappeared from the scene leaving no traces.

He said there was no occupant in the tricycle when the accident occurred.

According to him, “The accident involved a truck and and a tricycle on the journey Inward Ogombo near the traffic light at Abraham Adesanya.

“There was no casualty as the truck driver and motor boy were not sighted at the scene while there was no occupant in the tricycle.

“Meanwhile area condone to avert any further occurrence.

“The truck was coming from Ajah in the early hours of today and the driver wanted to branch somewhere. The accident was caused by some of these tricycles that were operating illegally by the roadside.”

He said the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and policemen from Ogombo were on ground doing the needful.
