Driver escapes death as fire guts Lexus jeep on Third Mainland Bridge

CITIZENS COMPASS–The driver of a Lexus jeep 330 on Sunday, July 21, 2024, escaped death by whiskers when the car unexpectedly went up in flames on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos State.
The car, as gathered, was burnt beyond recognition though the arrival of the Lagos Fire and Rescue Service prevented the incident from escalating.
Eyewitnesses’ accounts said it occurred in the early hours.
Citizens Compass reports that the lone occupant hurriedly left the steering on noticing the fire in-between Ilaje and UNILAG Water Front inward Lagos Island.
Citizens Compass reports that one of the video clips from the scene captured the well ignited fire while another captured fire fighters battling it before it was completely put out on the Bridge.
Eye witnesses’ accouns said the car developed wiring problem while on motion before the fire erupted.
