Death of Attahiru, others sad -Ohanaeze Ndigbo
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo has described as a sad development the death of the Nigeria’s 21st Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, and 10 other military officers who were involved in the crash of the Nigeria Air Force aircraft on Friday 21st May, 2021.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo General Assembly Wordwide in a statement signed by the
Director General, Strategic Planning and Implementations, Amb. Tony Chiemelu Obizoba, described the death as a sunset at it prime.
“To us, it is a sunset at its prime for the brilliant officers, who departed amidst the period their contributions to ending the decades of terrorism in the country were more required.
“The incident which consumed these officers are sad, sorrowful and, indeed, painful.
“Our condolences go to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Federal Government, the Nigerian Armed Forces, the respective families of the departed souls and the patriotic people of Nigeria.
May their souls rest in peace. Amen,”
