CITIZENS COMPASS – SOME suspected cultists have reportedly went berserk in Ilorin, Kwara State killing one person in the process.
The incident was said to have occurred on Sunday, April 23, 2923, at about 2p.m. when the rival groups invaded the Omoda area of Ilorin metropolis.
A source said three people were injured in the attack when the suspected cultists allegedly invaded the area from Gambari area of Ilorin metropolis.
The deceased was identified as one Toheeb of Ile Alagbede compound, Ajijobi area of Ilorin.
Eye witnesses’ account said the area was peaceful in the morning before the cultists’ invasion threw people to run hekter skelter.
It could not be ascertained if the deceased was a member of any of the warring groups
Contacted, the spokesperson, Kwara State Police Command, Okasanmi Ajayi, said he was yet to be briefed about the incident. He said “no incident of that nature had been reported.”
The spokesperson said, “No report of the case is made in any of our police stations. Efforts to get information about the incident proved abortive please, ” he added.
