CITIZENS COMPASS—SP Abdul Gafar Bichi, the Chief Security Officer (CSO), to the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam has been decorated with a new rank.
While decorating the newly promoted officer, Gaidam tasked him to stick to hard work, commitment, and honesty in carrying out his duty.
This is upon his promotion to the new rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) at the Ministry HQ Abuja recently, National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) can report.
In his words, Gaidam noted about Bichi, ‘He has been working with me for the past fifteen years till date and I find him to be a promising officer, hardworking and honest in his activities so far.’
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Ministry’s Deputy Director (Press), Bolaji O. Kazeem stated that, the decoration of the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to Minister of Police Affairs, SP Bichi was conducted by the Honourable Minister (State) Police Affairs, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim and the Chairman of Police Service Commission, Dr. Solomon Arase in the Headquarters of the Ministry in Abuja.
During the ceremony, the Minister of State for Police Affairs, Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim pointed out that the story of the CSO revolved around dedication to service and patriotism.
Further, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Dr. Solomon Arase appreciated the dedication and commitment of the officer adding that is what police officers should be known for.
SP Abdul Gafar Bichi was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on June 25, 1994, as a Cadet Inspector and is currently Chief Security Officer to the Minister of Police Affairs. He was promoted from Deputy Superintendent to Superintendent of Police (SP) on the 1st November 2023.
