TWO people were rescued on Monday, while the fate of many others were unknown in Lagos, after an unlatched container fell on two vehicles.
The incident occured in Akesan, Igando area at about 9.30pmn, ear Omark School by Dapso bus-stop.
The container was said to have fallen off a motion truck and landed on a Sienna space car and Toyota jeep.
The fate of the passengers were unknown.
According to eyewitnesses’, while efforts were on to rescue the trapped victims, an incident of fire outbreak was reported from the scene but sympathisers quickly rallied round and rescued two people.
Confirming the incident, the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, Lagos Territorial Office Coordinator, Ibrahim Farinloye said rescue operation was ongoing at press time.
As at 10.47pm, he said a third car was recovered underneath the truck during rescue operation.
