CITIZENS COMPASS–The Borno State Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Ali Ahmed, was on Monday, found dead in his bedroom.
He was said to be found dead by his aide while trying to remind him of the day’s appointment.
He was later confirmed dead by medical experts.
His sudden death occurred barely a year after the State governor,Babagana Zulum, appointed him as the Commissioner for Finance.
In the State, the Commissioner’s death was the second in the year, 2024.
The Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Usman Tar, confirmed the death in a statement.
Recall that in January, Isah Gusau, the Special Adviser on Public Relations and Strategy to the Governor, died after a heart related ailment.
The statement said his burial was scheduled for 5 pm on Monday, at his family residence on Damboa Road, behind the Indimi residence in Maiduguri.
He was aged 44.
