CITIZENS COMPASS – THE Cornel Media Consult (CMC) Gladiators, has felicitated with Sen. Godswill Akpabio on his recent inauguration and subsequent election as the 10th Senate President of the national Assembly, of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The group equally celebrated with three Senators, ten House of Representatives members from Akwa Ibom state as well Members of the State Assembly who were also inaugurated as members of the state and National Assemblies.
According to a statement signed and made available to newsmen in their corporate office in Lagos, Amb. Cornell Udofia, President and founder of the group, said their election victories and inauguration are indication of general acceptability by the electorates.
He urged them to work assiduously to implement laws that will engender even development of the Constituents that entrusted their mandates to them.
While thanking God for a smooth transition that resulted in their elections, he seized the occasion to assure all the state and national Assembly lawmakers from AKS, irrespective of political affiliations, of the group unflinching support and commitment to always partner with them and their offices to offer effective representation to their Constituencies and Constituents both at home and in the Diaspora, which he believe that will further enhance the economic and social well being of the State and her citizens.
He reminded them that as the Representatives of the people, they are expected to initiate and pass Bills that are people-centric capable of transforming the economic and technological development of the nation.
Amb. Cornell Udofia, who was flanked by executive officers of the group, was full of happiness for the emergence of Sen. Godswill Akpabio as the Senate President and Head of the National Assembly describing it as unprecedented feat in the annals of the State political history, enjoined him to use his exalted position to ensure federal government presence in the state as he urged him and others to work in concert with the federal government to achieve national cohesion, love, peace, unity technological development that will place our nation vis-as vis with other developed nation.
He stressed that CMC Gladiators as an organization that scout,identify, nurture, assist, celebrate young and buddy talents such as Artists, entrepreneurs etc amongst our youths as well as recognize and reward individuals who have excelled in both public and private enterprise, he promised that the organization will graciously work with them to continue to promote that spirit of enterprise and reward for excellence in human endeavors among our people.
He assured the Lawmakers that his organization will continue to show case and highlight their proceedings in the course of their legislative engagements through regular reportage to properly inform the Constituents and for their feedback which he stated will help in the rapid development of the society.
