Bus rams into train in Lagos, two injured
TWO persons were reportedly injured on Tuesday, 10th, May, 2022, in Lagos, after a Toyota Hiace bus with number plate, EKY 888 XW and a train had a collision at the Ilupeju Bye-pass area.
The timely response of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), prevented loss of lives at the scene.
The destination of the train could not be ascertained at press time but feelers from the axis said as it was approaching the Bye-pass, all vehicles stopped in obedience to the railway signal unfortunately, the driver of the bus acted contrarily thereby ramming into the train.
However, no life was lost but two adult males sustained injuries and First Aid treatment was administered on them by the Agency’s Paramedics before being taken to the General hospital for further medical attention.
It was learnt that thr bus was towed off the scene with the aid of the Agency’s light tow-truck for normalcy to return.
Emergency responders at the scene were the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps.
