PRESIDENT of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, presented the 2022 budget to the National Assembly.
Our Correspondent reports that the occasion witnessed tight security within and around the National Assembly Complex in Abuja where the budget was presented.
Buhari had on Wednesday written both chambers of the National Assembly intimating the lawmakers that he will be presenting the 2022 budget estimate before them by 12 noon.
The 2022 budget estimated a projection of N16.39 trn.
It was gathered that security operatives at the entrance to the National Assembly are conducting thorough screening on staff and other people coming into the complex before being allowed entry.
It was observed that those without pass were being denied access to the National Assembly Complex.
