CITIZENS COMPASS- THE body of a lady who dived into the Lagos Lagoon on Thursday, is yet to be recovered.
Although emergency responders have activated its rescue mission this was diverted to a search response on Friday.
Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has revealed the identity of the lady as Adetutu Adedokun, a staff of the Department of State Security.
LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu who disclosed this in his updates said Adetutu’s said the whereabout of the tax scene could not be ascertained.
This is contrary to the reports that the driver was facing interrogation.

The Permanent Secretary said, “The body of an adult female, identified as Adetutu Adedokun that was reported by eyewitnesses to have jumped into the lagoon is yet to be recovered.
“The lady is said to be a staff of
the Department of State Security.
“Investigations have failed to produce the driver of the car that she was in prior to the unfortunate incident.
The response team has changed from rescue to recovery and is now observing the tide and is relying on locals for any useful information.

Adetutu who was in her 30s as at the time of the incident had boarded a tax to an undisclosed destination when she alighted at the Third Mainland Bridge and dived into the Lagoon.
The tax driver was said to have alerted sympathisers about the incident which occured at about 3.30am.
Osanyintolu said search for her body was ongoing at press time.
