CITIZENS COMPASS – THE global cryptocurrency exchange platform, Binance, has declared its Nigeria’s subsidiary as a scam.
The Chief Executive Officer of Binance, Changpeng Zhao made this known via his Twitter handle on Sunday, June 18, 2023, He saud, “Binance Nigeria Limited a scam entity.”
“Binance has issued cease & desist notice to the scammer entity “Binance Nigeria Limited”. Don’t believe everything you read in the news,” he wrote.
Recall that Citizens Compass had on Sunday, June 11, 2023, reported that the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria declared that Binance Nigeria is operating illegally in the country as it is not registered or regulated by the SEC.
The Commissioner urged the public to desist from patronising it.
