CITIZENS COMPASS– AN argument over the sharing formula of the sum of N1,600 has allegedly sent a scrap dealer to his early grave.
The deceased was reportedly stabbed to death by his friend at Tarzan junction axis, Nkpor in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Eye witnesses’ accounts said the scrap dealer had a prolonged brawl with his colleagues over the sharing formula but this was later resolved by their senior colleagues.
An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said before the death occurred, the assailants invited the deceased to a drinking joint but the invitation was turned down.
“They eventually caught him on his bike, same day, held him tight before one of them stabbed him on his neck and head with a broken bottle. He immediately slumped while the assailants fled,” he said.
It was gathered that the Police were invited to the scene where the body of the scrap dealer, a native of Ebonyi State, was deposited at Iyi-Enu hospital morgue, Ogidi.
It was gathered that the police have commenced investigation into the killing.
The deceased mother was said to have cried out for justice.
The incident as gathered has caused panic among residents who believe that the Police may make arrests in the cause of the investigation.
It could not be ascertained if the assailants have been arrested as they all fled the scene on noticing that the deceased had been stabbed to death.
A neighbour to the deceased said he was law abiding in the area unfortunately death came calling when he least expected it.
The death have thrown family and friends of the deceased into mourning especially the mother who have since cried out to well meaning Nigerians for justice to prevail.
She was said to have urged the Nigeria Police to fish out the alleged killers.

The Ogidi Divisional Police Officer, CSP Sani Ahmed , who confirmed the incident said the corpse has been deposited in the morgue, while efforts were on to arrest the fleeing assailants.
The corpse has been deposited in the morgue. None of the suspects has been arrested, but we have commenced manhunt for them. We will get them,”
he assured.
