Bank worker dies on duty
CITIZENS COMPASS– A staff of Fidelity Bank, Emmanuel Ebere, has reportedly slumped and died while on duty in Lagos.
He was said to be attached to the Information and Communication Technology (ICT)unit, but was rushed to the Military hospital, Ikoyi, where he was confirmed dead.
The incident occurred yesterday at the Awolowo, Ikoyi branch in Lagos.
Eye witnesses’ account said olleagues of the late worker went about their daily routine as usual though in a sad state.
Policemen at the Ikoyi Division have since been alerted of the incident.
Spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundenyi, who confirmed the incident, said it occurred at about 6.30 am.
He said: “Based on the report, a team of detectives from the Ikoyi Division visited the hospital and examined the corpse. No mark of violence was seen on the body. Corpse has been evacuated and deposited at the Marina General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
