SUSPECTED bandits on Wednesday, stormed Government Day Secondary school, Kaya, Maradun local government area of Zamfara State and kidnapped some students and teachers.
Maradun is the home town of the state governor, Bello Matawalle.
However, the actual figure of those abducted could not be adcertsined at press time.
A resident who craved anonymity said the bandits stormed the school premises at about 11:00 am, when academic activities were in progress.
He said, “As soon they entered the school, they began to shoot indiscriminately and kidnapped some students and dozens of teachers on the spot.
“As I am talking to you now, we cannot ascertain how many students both male and female and their teachers were kidnapped during the attack and some teachers were kidnapped to an unknown destination,” he said.
At press time, the Police and the state government could not confirm the incident.
