
Autopsy reveals why Nigerian boxer died in boxing ring
CITIZENS COMPASS– An autopsy report of Olanrewaju Segun, the late Nigerian boxer, who died in a Ghana boxing ring has revealed that he died of sudden cardiac arrest.
The boxing legend died on Sunday, March 30, 2025, during a boxing match.
Investigation into the cause of his death has commenced.
A viral video captured the late boxer being attended to by medical experts as Ghana promised to unravel the cause of his desth.
A report shared by an Instagram user, Temilola Sobola, said further medical inquiries into his heart condition are underway. As a result, his body would not be released for burial in Nigeria until this is sorted out.
The report stated: “An autopsy was performed on the late boxer, Olanrewaju Segun, and the results confirmed that he died from sudden cardiac arrest. Further investigation into his heart condition is required, and his body will not be released for burial in Nigeria until approximately two weeks.”
