Assembly Speaker, deputy resign
CITIZENS COMPASS —Plateau State Speaker of the House of Assembly, Moses Thomas Sule has resigned his position.
His deputy, Gwottaon has also toed the line of the Speaker by resigning his position.
The member representing Pankshin North, Gabriel Dawang, was subsequently elected as the new speaker of the Assembly.
Similarly Timothy Dantong, representing Riyom constituency, emerged the new Deputy Speaker of Assembly.
Although the details of the resignations are still sketchy as at press time, the development may not be unconnected to the political instability in the state.
