Anthony Joshua visits Tinubu

 

CITIZENS COMPASS– Former World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua, has visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos State.

The visit took place on Wednesday.

Joshua was warmly received by President Tinubu, marking a significant moment of camaraderie between sports and leadership.

The pugilist, during the visit, presented an autographed glove to the President.

The gesture was seen as a token of respect and goodwill, reflecting Joshua’s Nigerian roots and his admiration for the nation’s leader.

This was revealed by the Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on his verified Facebook page.

“President Bola Tinubu received an autographed glove from former World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua, when he visited the President at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos. January 1, 2025,” Onanuga wrote.

President Tinubu expressed delight at the visit and praised Joshua for his remarkable achievements in the boxing world, acknowledging the inspiration he provides to millions of Nigerians and young people globally.
