CITIZENS COMPASS– Anambra State Government said it has uncovered a kidnappers’ den with 30 graves in the State.
The den which disguised as a hotel was uncovered along the Onitsha-Owerri Road area of the State.
The building has since been demolished by the state government.
The State disclosed this over the weekend, in a post on its X Handle formerly known as Twitter.
It said the hotel, known as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also referred to as “La Cruise Hotel”, was reportedly a hub for kidnappers and other criminal elements.
According to the post, La Cruise Hotel had over 30 well-partitioned graves.
“Oba, Idemili South LGA! Demolition of kidnappers disguised as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites AKA “La Cruise Hotel” along Onitsha-Owerri Road.
“The hotel has well-partitioned graves of over 30 on the last floor with a shrine!!”
Similarly, the local security in the State has apprehended three suspected kidnappers during an attempt to kidnap a victim.
The State government disclosed this in another post on its X Handle.
“At Agu Odumodu Umunya, Fulani kidnappers were arrested after attempting to kidnap a victim.
“The kidnappers disguised themselves as cow sellers and lured the boy into the bush. “Fortunately, he escaped and made a call to members of Agunechemba.”
