Again! Lagos discover rooms under bridge
CITIZENS COMPASS – Barely 24 hours after the Lagos State Government uncovered 86 living rooms under the Dolphin Estate bridge, another set of living rooms under the bridge was uncovered on Thursday, May 2, 2024.
That’s the time around, the rooms were uncovered under the Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi.
Citizens Compass reported that 86 rooms were uncovered under the Dolphin Estate bridge where occupants were paying N250,000 per annum as rent.
Recall that the 86 rooms were partitioned to “10×10” and “12×10” respectively.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, shared this on his X Handle saying the rooms area is an illegal settlement.
He shared some videos to buttress his points.
“Another illegal settlement was discovered under the Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi.
“Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial (KAI) commenced immediate clearance operation.”
