After 16 years, DNA reveals man is not biological father of four children
CITIZENS COMPASS–After 16 years of blissful marriage, a DNA result has proven that a 44-year-old man, Mr. Olanrewaju Kolawole, is not the biological father of four children supposedly produced by the marriage.
The Osun-born children were aged 16, 12, 8 and 5 but the result revealed that the man was not the father of four children.
However, his wife, Tella Toyin, has disagreed with the result saying she did not know when the samples were taken, hence, cannot specifically say if the man is the father of four children
Kolawole wept profusely when the DNA test results were handed over to him.
The indigene of Ikire in Osun State, and his wife, were said to have got married in 2007 before the DNA tests results proved that he was not the father of four children.
Toyin who expressed shock at the outcome of the test disagreed with the results, saying that she was not there when they took the sample and did not know which samples were taken before concluding that her husband was not the father of four children.
The couple who attend thesame church in the Ikoyi area of Osun State have been thrown into confusion having discovered that the man are not the father of four children produced by the marriage.
She said: “I don’t accept the result. I don’t accept it because I was not there when they took samples, and I don’t know which sample they took, so I don’t accept it.
“I can’t accept it because I know how I conceived those children.”
The paternity crisis began when Kolawole and Toyin appeared on the popular radio show; ‘Kokoro Alate’, on Agidigbo FM, Ibadan, Oyo State, anchored by Oriyomi Hamzat.
Following the first DNA test of the first child, which revealed that the child was not his, the man claimed to have subsequently carried out tests on the three other children. And all returned negative results.
He said: “I want Nigerians to come to my rescue because I must not suffer this in vain. I married Toyin in 2007 and gave birth to four children.
“But none of the children belong to me after findings from a DNA test.”
Asked why he decided to conduct the test in the first place, he said he made the decision to carry out the tests on his children after observing some promiscuous moves from his wife.
The DNA test was conducted at the DDC DNA Diagnostic Centre in Osogbo.
